Hello KAY PHI YOW! Welcome to our space! I was so moved today after reading all of the emails and listening to countless recollections of how Coach Yow has affected your lives and how much she means to you. I felt so inspired and so uplifted that I did not want it to end. I kept thinking there must be something I could do to keep us all connected and to keep this going. Of course there's always email, facebook and myspace but I thought this would be a really nice place for all of us to come and share stories and stay connected with each other. We really have something special Wolfpack Family and its all because of one person...to some she's a friend..to some she's a sister...to some she's a mother...but to all she's is an example and most importantly she is our leader. Your words were so candid and so special and I hope we can keep this going. I hope that you all will enjoy reading and sharing your thoughts as we once again come together as one family to lift the spirits of our leader of the pack (Coach Yow). Talisha Scates Class of 2002

Fellow Wolfpack Women, Hey. Hope you guys, excuse me - ya"ll - are doing ok and I wish for you a Happy New Year. I am truly saddened and somewhat lonely way up here in Ithaca, NY and wanted to connect with you all as we focus our energy and thoughts on Coach Yow and pray for her well being. I can't imagine how my life may have been different if I had not had the opportunity to know and love Coach Yow. I feel truly blessed at having had the opportunity to play for her and the connection I feel for her and for you - through her - is awesome and a big part of who I am. Basketball is truly a great game and I will continue to find a way to keep it a part of my life. But, ultimately, it is the relationships which happen as a result of playing the game that I treasure the most and the relationship I have been blessed to have with Coach Yow - long distance for the last 14 years - tops the list. I have been pulling out my Wolfpack memorabilia - those t-shirts from camp and the shorts I swiped from Brenda (she said ok!) the last couple of days and I wear them with pride and with thanksgiving. I wore the Kay Yow 25 year coaching pin on my jacket when we (I am an assistant coach at Cortland State) played last night and we beat Clarkson by 40. Anyway, this comforts me and I hope you guys will empty out those drawers and do the same so we can all be connected! I love you guys!
