Wow! Thanks to all the Wolfpack Women for all the uplifting and encourging words for Coach Yow and all of us, Talisha what a great site thanks for doing this. I've been here for a few years and had the blessing of sharing in the cheer with coaches, trainers, managers, and other support staff some were here for 2 years, 4 years and some more and some are still here like myself. Wolfpack Women whether you were here 1 or 30 you have made WOLFprints on my Heart and no one can fill those shoes, we issue other shoes but never filled yours. Because the Lord tells me and has shown me that each of us are unique and special and wonderfully made. During these years here I have worked(lol that does not even apply to me, seems more of a dream than work) because of all the blessings and miracles that I have experience with Coach Yow and the Wolfpack Women. The travel, laughs, tears and hugs I could go on and on.......The leader of the PACK what a witness for Our Lord Jesus Christ, that is what I admire most about Coach Yow; being able during the good times, bad times and now her fight and struggle with cancer has never changed her Faith in God. Not only her Faith but that she has shared that Faith whether she is working, playing or just talking. She is a woman who Walks the Talk. Coach Yow to me has never had a doubt what her true purpose in life is an especially now and that is to stand firm in her Faith. To share with others how you can have the same strength, courage, joy and peace that she now has during this opportunity that God has given her. I've heard her say that yes she would not have chosen to have cancer but if this is the road the Lord has allow in her life she prays that she will use it to Glorify and Honor Him, and watching her on a daily basis there is no doubt she has. She loves her Wolfpack Women and I know if there was one gift that she could give to each of you it would be what she has shared with all of us one time or the other and that would be for all of us to say the cheer "Wolfpack Women on the way to #1 together" in Heaven together, who knows maybe that was the purpose of the cheer all along because if I remember correctly it was said directly after prayer with the team. My dream is that we can all be saying that cheer again on the day of Hoops for Hope! and like the song goes "Friends are Friends Forever" this is for my friend Kay Yow and all my Wolfpack Women friends! God Bless! Love Bem
Packing up the dreams God planted
In the fertile soil of you
I can't believe the hopes He's granted
Means a chapter of your life is through
But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong
And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends
And with the faith and love God's given
Springing from the hope we know
We will pray the joy you live in
Is the strength that now you show
We'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will kee the love that keeps us strong
No a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends
Hello KAY PHI YOW! Welcome to our space! I was so moved today after reading all of the emails and listening to countless recollections of how Coach Yow has affected your lives and how much she means to you. I felt so inspired and so uplifted that I did not want it to end. I kept thinking there must be something I could do to keep us all connected and to keep this going. Of course there's always email, facebook and myspace but I thought this would be a really nice place for all of us to come and share stories and stay connected with each other. We really have something special Wolfpack Family and its all because of one person...to some she's a friend..to some she's a sister...to some she's a mother...but to all she's is an example and most importantly she is our leader. Your words were so candid and so special and I hope we can keep this going. I hope that you all will enjoy reading and sharing your thoughts as we once again come together as one family to lift the spirits of our leader of the pack (Coach Yow). Talisha Scates Class of 2002
Leader of the Pack
