Hello KAY PHI YOW! Welcome to our space! I was so moved today after reading all of the emails and listening to countless recollections of how Coach Yow has affected your lives and how much she means to you. I felt so inspired and so uplifted that I did not want it to end. I kept thinking there must be something I could do to keep us all connected and to keep this going. Of course there's always email, facebook and myspace but I thought this would be a really nice place for all of us to come and share stories and stay connected with each other. We really have something special Wolfpack Family and its all because of one person...to some she's a friend..to some she's a sister...to some she's a mother...but to all she's is an example and most importantly she is our leader. Your words were so candid and so special and I hope we can keep this going. I hope that you all will enjoy reading and sharing your thoughts as we once again come together as one family to lift the spirits of our leader of the pack (Coach Yow). Talisha Scates Class of 2002

Hi Wolfpack Fam!

I have enjoyed reading all the emails and every special memory that all of us share pertaining to Coach Yow. While reading, I have laughed and cried all at the same time. This morning I found myself looking back at some of the highlight film from the years that I played (2002-2006). I found myself cracking up when the part about TJ and Kaayla stealing Coach Yow's flip flops came on;the one's that Coach Yow tripped up over everyday in practice. Coach Yow wrote a note and stuck it on the outside of the bus stating that she was missing her "sole mates" and she believed that "Teradon Tookem and Kaladon Hadem" were the colprits.
One part that had me in tears was when Coach Yow had to leave and go to Colorado for a short period during my jr year season. She even missed the Carolina game! The day she was to return, the whole team including the staff were hiding out in the airport to suprise her. The look on her face was enough in itself.
Coach Yow has really inspired us in so many ways, including my father that has been battling cancer since my Sr. year of college. I'm elated by all the emails that everyone has sent about special moments they have had with Coach Yow. Coach Yow has come into each and every one of our lives for a specific purpose; for one reason or another.
I ask that we continue to share our fond memories of Coach Yow. Also, I would encorage you all to use the blog that Talisha created. It's really easy to use and that way we can just read through everyones special memory or special bond that they have had with Coach Yow without having to open a bunch of emails and without leaving anyone out. Just go to www.blogspot.com. The username is wolfpackwomen@gmail.com and the password is coachyow. For any of you that are unfamiliar with using the blog, please ask one of the younger ones (your kids or like Nanna said "players with color pictures in Coach Yow's office") to assit you.

Love You all,

Monee
