I thank God for the day I met my Angel on Earth,
she's taught me so much, way more than any money is worth.
She's been a living witness what a little faith will do,
I bet if you'd ever met her you'd feel the same way too.
Brung millions together to fight for a common cause,
gold medals, championships, my Earth Angel has it all.
Most importantly she has a caring heart,
to teach young adults like me to set themselves apart.
Most of us came in young and not really having a clue,
by the time we left we learned all about perserverance, courage and faith just to name a few.
I'm so glad my Earth Angel cared enough to believe in me and my potentials.
She not only cared about my talent but also that I had enough credentials,
to carry on life after the sports were done,
also cared that I had a relationship with the almighty one.
she didnt have to preach the word bc her life was an open book,
she lived christ like daily so we all could take a look.
Seeing how He manifested in her life inspired me to seek Him more
she even inspired thsoe who never knew Him before!
Now my Earth Angel is only human, she just has angel like qualities,
like compassion, integrity, honesty and loyalty!
She puts herself on no pedstal, but I will do it for her,
she's inspired millions from actors to doctors to lawyers.
Now my Earth Angel is the mother of hundreds and we are KayPhiYow,
and boy I tell ya to be apart of that sorority i'm so proud!
We're the few the proud but we're not the Marines,
just all came to NC State in pursuit of our dreams.
and ran across our Earth Angel who has changed our lives for the good,
she was the one who believed in us when nobody else would.
The pressed counted us out and the devil celebrated his win,
but coach kept believing and kept praying to till then end.
Now I return the favor as I bow my head each day at noon,
I know she's be proud to see how the flowers she's planted has bloomed.
Proud to see the fruits of the trees that once were shurbs now bear,
well im proud to say any good seed can bloosom under her care.
so as I continue to grow and bear more fruit
I will never forget who started the roots!
